Hi there!

I'm Madison, a product designer and journalist committed to creating social good. I help organizations connect with their audiences, whether it’s through intuitive digital experiences or compelling storytelling that helps people make sense of the world around them.

I started my career in local news covering higher education, including a year leading coverage on one of the largest sexual abuse scandals in sports history. News reporting solidified my drive for helping people live better lives, and it prepared me well for product development work — both demand curiosity, the ability to simplify the complex and a deep understanding of audience needs.

Currently, I'm at Informa TechTarget (previously Industry Dive), where I lead product design for audience growth initiatives across a portfolio of 45 business journalism publications.

Values
Relentless curiosity
I love learning new things, and curiosity drives learning. Curiosity is a skill that can be developed, and once you know how to act on it, learning becomes easy.
Compassion & empathy
We can’t communicate effectively if we can’t empathize with others. Compassion and empathy are tools to help ensure the work we do is relevant, useful and applicable.
Empowering others
I strive to empower others through information so they can better navigate the world around them. That also means sharing insights and lessons I've learned to help others grow. Collaboration > competition.
Inclusive design
Everyone should have access to reliable services and information. To do that, products and spaces must be inclusive. Accessibility and diversity efforts are essential every step of the way.
The power of community
Communities have the power to effect amazing change. That’s why I love working with engaged teams to tackle big problems.
